E. MULLEN AND SON VESSEL MANAGEMENT, Louisiana / Mississippi BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Clean Up 6/2010 – 2/2011
Operations Manager / Captain:  105’ Crew boat employed in the BP Oil Spill Cleanup.  Duties included Operation of the vessel delivering 15 – 20 cleanup workers from a “Floating City” Quarters Barge moored off Cocodrie, LA to drifting shrimp boats in Terrebone Bay and retrieval of the workers at the end of the workday.  The boat was moved to Pascagoula, MS where the operation of the vessel was taking 50 cleanup workers to Horn Island, MS in the morning and returning them at night.  Duties on this vessel also included hiring and training Captains, engineers and deckhands for crew relief and maintaining the vessel and machinery.

BAY STATE CRUISE COMPANY /ROADTOWN FAST FERRY, Tortola BVI – St Thomas USVI 3/2010 – 4/2010
Captain: High Speed Passenger Ferry Provincetown III.  Making three round trips daily from Roadtown, Tortola to Charlotte Amalie, ST Thomas.  Making 1round trip weekly from Roadtown, Tortola to St Thomas Cruise Ship Terminal / M/S Disney Magic via St John USVI Customs to bring families to Dolphin Discovery Tortola.

HYDROLINES, INC., Atlantic Highlands, NJ 5/89 – 12/2015
Vice President / Operations Manager - 18 years, Captain - 2 years, Vessel Management Contractor 6 Years.

 Hydrolines, Inc. owned three vessels operated primarily as Commuter Ferries. The vessels were on long-term Time Charter to TNT Hydrolines owned by TNT Shipping and Development, Express Navigation owned by Holyman PLC and Seastreak owned by Sea Containers Ltd through November 2005.
As Captain, operated 110’ four-engine mono-hull, 82’ high-speed catamaran and 105’ three-engine mono-hull commuter ferries between Monmouth County, New Jersey, and New York City.  Trained and managed crew members.
Promoted to Senior Captain/Operations Manager and assumed the duties of Personnel Manager and Vessel Operations Manager. Tasks at times performed in conjunction with the duties as full-time and relief vessel Captain.  
Participated in Operational review of and on ferry services to Catalina Island, CA, Weymouth, Poole, Jersey and Guernsey, UK and St Malo, France, Boston, MA, Ft Lauderdale, FL, Savannah, GA – Hilton Head, SC.
Successfully advertised, chartered and was Lead Captain on delivery of two Hydrolines catamarans from Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, to Johns Pass, Florida, April 2006. 
Promoted to Vice President and successfully advertised, chartered (2007 and 2008) and sold (October 2008) Hydrolines 110’ 149 passenger mono-hull. 
Managed and maintained Hydrolines catamarans were for sale or charter located in Tampa, FL until they were sold in December of 2015.

HARBOR COMMUTER SERVICE, INC. (Direct Line), Pt Monmouth, NJ 7/87 - 5/89
Port Captain- 2 years
As Port Captain, prepared weekly crew and vessel schedules, hired, trained and terminated employees, oversaw all onboard personnel and dealt with various governmental agencies with regard to the operation of the vessels and the procurement of permits needed for landing sites. Tasks performed in conjunction with the duties as full-time and relief vessel Captain.  

EAGLE FLEET INC., Houston, TX 8/80 - 7/87
Operations Manager - 5 ½ years, Captain - 1 year
As Operations Manager, responsible for hiring, training, terminating, coordinating and overseeing port captains, port engineers, and the daily operation and maintenance of a fleet that grew to 21 oil field crew, supply and utility vessels. For two years, acted as personnel manager, with direct responsibility for crew scheduling and payroll.
As Captain, operated and maintained various 90’ - 110’ aluminum crew boats powered by three or four 12V71T1 Detroit Diesel engines supporting the offshore oil industry along the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast.
